Greetings from 300 Prospect Street!
Hi there! My name is Lori Lombardo and I am excited to have joined the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies as the Assistant Director of Admissions, Events & Recruitment. I come here after having spent three and a half years working at the Office of Admission at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY. While a member of their team, I worked with students from all over the country – recruiting heavily in California and Texas – and working with majority first generation and minority students. Aside from working directly with these students, I also managed all admission events, marketing and communications and was responsible for driving their Premier Scholarships and Programs.
Prior to my time at CMSV, I was a student at Lafayette College where I earned my Bachelors in Environmental Studies. While a student, in addition to my studies, I worked extensively in the Office of Admission which jump started my career. Eager to unite my passion for the environment with my love for higher education, I am honored to further the mission I so value of Yale F&ES through this role. In a time of increasing environmental challenges, this was an opportunity I could not let pass me by.
Outside of the professional world, I love spending time with my rescue pup, Bronson (a five month old mutt), my family and my friends. I am an amateur photographer and a lover of good coffee! I live to travel and am always day dreaming about where I will explore next…I am on a mission to visit each of the 62 National Parks and all 50 states! For me, exploring new places and being immersed in new and different cultures is invigorating.
I am elated to work alongside the members of the F&ES Admissions & Financial Aid team to continue bringing in incredible students from many different backgrounds. I am thankful to be a part of the positive contributions you will not only make to your fields, but the community as a whole. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you through this process as you become the world’s next great environmental leaders!
