Meet one of the newest Assistant Director of Admissions!

Hello! My name is Kelly Morrissey and I’m delighted to join the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies as the Assistant Director of Admissions, Communications, and Marketing. I come to F&ES from the University of Bridgeport Office of Admissions with experience in several roles over the last six years including recruitment, admissions communications, and serving as a key administrator of the CRM. I’m eager to connect with prospective students to share what F&ES has to offer and to guide applicants through the enrollment process.

I grew up in Shelton, Connecticut and have visited the Peabody Museum of Natural History on many occasions. The city of New Haven was my home when I completed my undergraduate studies at SCSU and so I’m excited to return and explore this amazing city. New Haven is a place filled with an abundance of culture, art, and perhaps most importantly, food! I’m in support of the #optoutside movement and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible as well as traveling! In the warmer months I enjoy hiking and friendly games of Spikeball on the beach. During the winter, you can find me on the slopes in Vermont. Spending time outdoors allows us to give our brains a break and the opportunity to recharge!

I’m proud to now be a member of a vibrant community who is committed to their mission and whose values align with mine. From the programs offered through F&ES to the faculty and staff who come from an impressive variety of backgrounds and experiences, I’m thankful for being given the opportunity to collaborate with peers who are passionate and dedicated to their field. Higher education has been such a rewarding and meaningful career and I thoroughly enjoy working with students through their educational journey. I look forward to connecting with you and to continuously learning as a new member of the F&ES community!
