About YSEinDC (#yseindc)

Virtual YSEinDC 2022 is an annual program for masters students at YSE organized by the Office of Career and Professional Development.  Approximately 100 students participate in employer meetings, career panels, alumni conversations, and a virtual Alumni/Student networking reception co-hosted by the YSE Development and Alumni Services Office.

Through the generosity of employer hosts in a range of public and private sector organizations and companies, the event provides students an unparalleled opportunity to explore the landscape of environmental work in the D.C. area and around the world.

Why virtual employer visits?

Visiting with employers virtually is way for students to learn firsthand about a specific work organization or company and its environment. It is an opportunity to virtually step inside a headquarter and network with alumni and employers. Sessions organized by CPD in collaboration with employer hosts may consist of presentations with Q&A session, virtual tours, or panel presentations.

Why host a regional career program in Washington, DC?

Washington, DC is home to approximately 650 YSE alumni--our largest alumni concentration. Concentrated programming provides students an opportunity to meet a large number of alumni and employers in a short period of time.

YSEinDC also provides an unparalleled opportunity to explore the landscape of environmental work in the DC area and around the world.

Who attends YSEinDC?

YSEinDC is open to all current first-year and returning YSE graduate students. CPD staff members will co-host all virtual events.
