CV Writing

The Curriculum Vitae or CV is a document most often used in academic and research heavy job markets. Unlike a resume--a summary of experience--the CV may contain an abundance of detail. A CV, though still selective, catalogs academic, research, teaching, and professional experience.

CV Writing Tips, The Writing Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison
YSE Faculty Profiles
We recommend reviewing YSE faculty CVs for ideas and guidance. Typically student CVs will contain much less information, but faculty examples can provide good ideas on structure, formats, and possible sections to include.
Graduate Writing Laboratory, Yale Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning
