Aishwarya Iyer is a 4th year PhD candidate working at the Center for Industrial Ecology. She also is a part of Professor Narasimha Rao's Energy Climate and Wellbeing (ECWL) Lab. Her thesis focuses on better representing residential buildings in urban India in global models. She works with building information modeling frameworks to create a detailed life-cycle energy demand from different typologies and archetypes of residential buildings. Her work also aims to inform future policy in the Indian urban residential sector by identifying energy and material efficient strategies.
