AMES is a continuation of FAME. It is intended for students who wish to round out their graduate level applied math toolbox and start building mathematical models. Topics covered show up in many graduate courses as if students had formal training in them. This provides students with on ramps to important concepts like linear algebra, optimization, stability analysis, and differential equations. This course is especially helpful for students considering or starting a PhD.
