Margie Alt is currently the director of the Climate Action Campaign, a vibrant coalition of 12 national environmental, environmental justice and public health groups. Together with nearly 60 partners across the country, CAC brings a coordinated community, a savvy strategy, a powerful field operation, and a professional communications team to the fight for equitable, federal climate action. For more than 30 years, Margie has been a campaigner, organization builder, and leader. She served as the founding executive director of Environment America, ran campaigns to elect pro-environment candidates, led numerous state-level efforts to win policies with the Public Interest Network, and trained hundreds of staff and volunteers to better understand how to plan and win advocacy campaigns.
