Activate your Yale email account
REQUIREDFollowing the acceptance of your admissions offer, your Yale NetID activation instructions will be available in the application portal a few days after your deposit is received. Use your Yale NetID and the PIN provided to activate your Yale Account and monitor your Yale email. You are expected to monitor your Yale email account during the spring and summer months for important information and updates on MODs, orientation, etc. If you did not receive either your Yale NetID or PIN, please contact the School Registrar.

Graduate Housing application webinar
Yale's Graduate Housing will be hosting a webinar which provides information on Yale Graduate Housing and the on-campus graduate housing application process for graduate apartments, family housing and dormitories. The 2024 Housing Webinar will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. EST.Please register for the housing webinar or watch the 2023 recorded webinar.
April 1 - 22
Start applying for Graduate Housing
The housing application for graduate and professional students for the 2024-2025 Academic Year will open on April 1st at 9:00 a.m. EST. Room Selection will begin on April 22nd. Details will be provided once you have applied for housing. On-campus housing is limited, so apply as soon as possible! Please note that your Yale NetID is required to apply. Admitted Student Open House
This year, the Admitted Student Open House program will be offered primarily in-person on April 4 & 5, 2024 (with select main sessions live-streamed). Faculty, staff, current students, and alumni are in preparation for two exciting days! The program will provide a comprehensive overview of the School and opportunities to connect with many community members to learn about what makes YSE unique. If you plan to attend the event virtually, please note that most sessions will be pre-recorded and available to all registrants for viewing a few days after the event has concluded. Required YSE Onboarding Survey for All Incoming Students
REQUIRED
Please complete the consolidated onboarding survey required of all incoming YSE students, which will link here starting in April and also be shared via email. We recommend setting aside up to 15-20 minutes to complete it.
By June 30
Complete process for Yale ID card and photo
REQUIREDIn order to have your Yale ID card ready upon your arrival to campus, you must submit a color passport photo no later than June 30. Yale ID Cards will be available at Orientation. If you did not submit your photo by the deadline, your ID may not be available at orientation. If that is the case, the School Registrar’s Office will issue you an ID authorization card, which you must take to the ID Center at 57 Lock Street to have your ID made.
By July 15
a) Official Academic Transcripts are due to the School Admissions Department

b) Share Your Gender Pronouns & Audio Recording of Your Name
REQUIRED
Access NameCoach to enter gender pronouns and an audio recording of your name to be populated in the Yale directory, class rosters and Canvas. NameCoach only needs to be completed once and can be done by logging into Student Information System or the Yale Student Hub and going to the Personal Data tab.
Note that NameCoach is critical for several reasons, including that it is used to ensure your name is correctly pronounced at your graduation.
By July 31
a) Secure permanent housing
REQUIRED
All incoming students are encouraged to have their housing secured no later than July 31. See Housing section for more information on on-campus housing and off-campus housing.
b) MyYSE Online Profile
As a student you have the opportunity to edit your own profile in the school directory. Your YSE Hub profile is used internally at the school, so that the faculty and staff can put a face with your name. You can update it whenever you like, beginning in late July.c) Safety Resources at Yale

Yale is committed to providing safety and security services to the entire Yale community. Before you come to campus it is important that you take a few moments to download the LiveSafe App, and download the Bulldog Safety Contact Card.
August 1
Fall Tuition Payment Due
REQUIREDThe fall term bill will be available July 1st and is due August 1st at 4:00 p.m. YalePay is the preferred means for payment of bills.
New Student Health Requirements
REQUIREDPlease review the documents for information about your health services, requirements, and deadlines for submission on the Yale Health website: New Student Health Requirements. These requirements are mandated by Yale University policy and Connecticut state regulations and must be completed no later than August 1. We strongly recommend that you print out forms and schedule your appointment with your healthcare provider NOW. Many providers are busy during the summer months and wait times may be long.

VIA Character Strengths Survey Due
All incoming students will receive a VIA survey link to their Yale email address in June. The survey is used for activities during the Self-to-System MOD. YSE has purchased the Total24 report output for every incoming student, which you will get access to after taking the test. Surveys should be completed by August 1.
September 15
Yale Health Coverage Waiver
OPTIONALDue date for Yale Health coverage waiver submissions (only for students who want to waive parts of the coverage).
