Network Access

There are multiple ways to connect to Yale's Network from YSE locations. All desktop machines should take advantage of the high-speed wired network available in YSE buildings. For portable use, YaleSecure is the preferred wireless network for faculty, staff and students.

Yale VPN(Virtual Private Network)

VPN (Off-Campus Access) Accessing Yale resources from off campus.

Yale VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a way to securely access a remote network.  Yale VPN allows eligible individuals to access Yale resources remotely.


Network Access for Guests and Visitors

YaleGuest wireless network is intended to support short-term access to the Internet for visitors (without a Yale NetID). YaleGuest does not count as being "on the Yale network", so many Yale websites and services are not accessible.
