Student Computing Facilities

YSE-IT maintains a drop-in student computing cluster in Sage Hall, Room 39, with twelve Lenovo Desktop computers and Four High-Performance Lenovo workstations, all with dual 24" monitors.  Four 27” high definition monitors are available for students that would like to utilize a second screen with their personal laptops.

YSE students can access to computer lab remotely here.

The student-computing cluster houses a Multi-Function Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax machine.  Additional wireless student printing is available in each YSE building and throughout the Yale campus via the PaperCut Printing System. Printing in three dimensions is also available at the Yale Center for Engineering Innovation & Design (CEID) and the Yale School of Architecture.

Other Yale Student Lab Facilities

The Marx Science & Social Science Library, a collaboration between Yale University Library and Yale’s central ITS department, offers an array of digital media technologies and operates several important digital resources, including the Statistical Classroom (“StatLab”), featuring 30 machines with dual monitors, and a variety of software and databases, such as a Bloomberg Terminal. CSSSI also employs two full-time data librarians who are available for questions or consultation about finding, using, and managing research data in the sciences and social sciences. CSSSI is located in nearby Kline Biology Tower and all resources are available to YSE students including the YSE Librarian and YSE Library Collection.
